Cynthia is a new tasting menu spot in West village specializing in zero waste food. The food was decent, but nothing special. It was also expensive at $140 per person for the amount of food you get. Skip it.

Mikado UES
I had low expectations for a Upper East Side sushi spot, but it was better than I expected. The sushi rice was good and warm, and the fish quality was solid. My main gripe was they abused truffle. Like, they put some on uni which is a bewildering choice. I know they were probably going for fancy, but the truffle killed uni's delicate flavors. Still, I'd go back if I'm in the area since it was reasonably priced. Oh, and get the nigiri—their rolls were meh.

Steak Street
Work lunch spot—My colleague recommended this steak spot for its value. For about $20, you get a 6oz steak with a side. It was pretty tasty, although one of my steak pieces was cooked rare instead of medium rare. I'd go back, but not frequently given how heavy the meal was.

Bridges
The sardines and confit trout were the best. Skip their signature cured tuna, it was good but nothing special. The main highlight is how fresh and high quality their veggies are. The food is overpriced for what you get, but I'd still go back. Their drinks were good too.

My Arctic Char was cooked very well, but otherwise all the other food I got—the bison tartare and garlic knot were meh. For drinks, I got the Search & Rescue[1] and that was just ok too.

First time back to this high-end Korean BBQ spot in about eight years. Still very good, with great service. I can see why they've kept their one Michelin star for so long.

Il Leone? I didn't know Leone was sick! But for real, if you like lots of char on your pizza, this is a good spot for you. The signature lobster pizza had lots of lobster, but I liked their margherita more.

The duck, confit potatoes, and passion fruit tart were good, otherwise the tuna carpaccio, sunchokes, and long beans were fine. Not bad but I don't recommend going out of your way to go here.
